Well spring is finally here and as the temperatures begin to climb, it is time to think about getting the pool area ready for the warm weather. it may be too early to actually open the pool, but there are things you can do that will help you on Opening Day! Here are a few simple steps:
1) Perhaps one of the most overlooked steps in getting your swimming pool ready for the season is addressing the area surrounding the pool. Clean up plant debris from the deck, patio and nearby planting beds. Prune trees and hedges that have grown and might hang over the pool. This will help keep the pool clean after the cover is removed.
2) Check the pool water. No matter what type of pool cover you own it is important to check "under the hood" and replenish the winter chemicals and maintain your pH as needed. Especially if you are prolonging the Spring Opening. Bring in a water sample and let us help you decide if any additional chemicals are needed.
3) Check your cleaning equipment, filter hoses, baskets, etc. Anything broken? Anything missing? Stop in or give us a call and we will get them ordered up so you will have everything you need when you are ready to open the pool.
